Dr. Andrea Kells
Dr. Andrea Kells is the founder and lead optometrist of Santé Eyecare. She is passionate about caring for patients at every stage of life — from a baby's first comprehensive eye exam to guiding children through myopia management, and helping adults and seniors preserve healthy vision for years to come. Her clinical philosophy blends prevention, early detection, and personalized treatment, with a focus on helping each patient see clearly, comfortably, and confidently.
Originally from Canada, Dr. Kells moved to Texas on a swimming scholarship to the University of Houston, where she specialized in butterfly and competed at the Canadian Olympic Trials. She earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Biology before completing her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2016.
Throughout her career, Dr. Kells has cared for patients across both the United States and Canada, managing a wide range of conditions, from routine vision care to more complex medical eye diseases including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye. She has extensive experience in surgical co-management for cataract and LASIK procedures, as well as treatment of eye injuries, infections, and foreign body removal.
Now based in Austin, Dr. Kells has developed a particular interest in addressing dry eye related to screen use, environmental allergens, and contact lens wear. She also emphasizes the importance of protecting long-term eye health in the Texas sun through high-quality prescription sunglasses and preventative care.
Janissa F.
Janissa is a Licensed Optician who is passionate about helping patients see clearly and feel confident in the eyewear they choose. She finds the greatest joy in guiding patients toward frames they may not have selected on their own and watching their confidence grow the moment they see themselves in something new. With a strong foundation in lens technology, fit, and precision measurements, Janissa ensures that every pair of glasses delivers both exceptional clarity and lasting comfort.
Outside of the clinic, Janissa is a proud parent to her energetic eight year old and enjoys exploring their new home in Pflugerville together. She values community, connection, and creating a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through the door. Janissa looks forward to helping you discover your next favorite pair of frames and making your optical experience both personal and enjoyable.
Tatiana C.
Tatiana C. brings a deep passion for vision care to her role at Santé Eyecare. She first fell in love with optometry when she realized how profoundly vision shapes confidence, learning, and overall quality of life. She received an Optometry degree in Bogotá, Colombia, where she developed a strong clinical foundation grounded in patient centered care. She finds her greatest joy in helping patients see more clearly and feel more confident, knowing that improved vision can meaningfully enhance daily life.
Tatiana believes that exceptional eye care is rooted in prevention, education, and trust. She enjoys working with advanced technology and developing personalized solutions tailored to each individual's needs. Family oriented and driven by a passion for growth, wellness, and entrepreneurship, she brings warmth, dedication, and a forward thinking mindset to every patient interaction and to the continued growth of Santé Eyecare.
