Everything your eyes need, in one place

Comprehensive Eye Care Services

At Santé Eyecare, we provide full-scope vision and medical eye care for children, adults, and seniors — from routine exams and preventive screenings to ongoing management of eye conditions.

Why Santé

A different kind of eye care practice

Unhurried, thorough visits

We schedule enough time to do things right. Every exam includes a complete conversation about your vision, your lifestyle, and what you want from your care — no rushing, no cutting corners.

Advanced imaging available

We use Optomap retinal photography and OCT imaging for a more complete view of your eye health. These screenings detect concerns earlier and provide valuable information beyond a standard eye exam.

Care for the whole family

From a child's first exam at six months to ongoing senior eye care, we provide full-scope vision and medical eye care under one roof — so your whole family builds a relationship with a team that knows them.

Independent & community-rooted

We're a locally owned, independent practice in Pflugerville — not a chain or a corporate clinic. Our decisions are driven by what's best for our patients, not quarterly targets.

Services Overview

Everything your eyes need, in one place

From preventive care to specialty services, we offer a full range of vision and eye health solutions for every member of your family.

Eye Exams & Preventive Care

Focused on routine care, early detection, and long-term eye health

Our comprehensive eye exams go beyond checking your prescription. Each visit includes a thorough evaluation of your vision, eye health, and how your eyes are functioning together. We take the time to understand your lifestyle, medical history, and visual demands so your care is never one-size-fits-all.

Benefits of a comprehensive eye exam include:

  • Detect early signs of eye disease
  • Monitor changes in vision over time
  • Address symptoms like eye strain, headaches, or blurred vision
  • Ensure your prescription supports how you actually use your eyes

The Optomap produces an ultra-widefield image of the retina, capturing up to 82% of its surface in a single, quick capture. This non-invasive scan gives our doctors a detailed view of the back of your eye — without the need for dilation in most cases.

Benefits of Optomap include:

  • No dilation drops for most patients
  • Faster, more comfortable imaging
  • Early detection of retinal disease
  • A permanent digital record to track changes over time

Optical Coherence Tomography, or OCT, is a non-invasive imaging technology that creates detailed cross-sectional images of the retina. Think of it as an ultrasound — but using light instead of sound — to visualize the individual layers of retinal tissue with microscopic precision.

OCT is commonly used to evaluate:

  • Glaucoma
  • Macular degeneration
  • Diabetic eye disease
  • Optic nerve abnormalities

This imaging is particularly valuable for patients with a family history of eye disease or those managing chronic conditions. It is quick, painless, and requires no contact with the eye.

In addition to routine eye exams, we provide medical eye care for a wide range of conditions affecting eye health and vision. Our approach focuses on early intervention, ongoing monitoring, and clear communication every step of the way.

Medical eye care services include evaluation and treatment for:

  • Eye infections and inflammation
  • Dry eye disease
  • Glaucoma
  • Diabetic eye disease
  • Sudden vision changes or eye discomfort

Glaucoma often develops without symptoms until significant vision loss has already occurred — earning it the name "the silent thief of vision." We use OCT optic nerve imaging, Optomap widefield retinal photography, and intraocular pressure testing at every exam to detect subtle changes before they become irreversible.

Our glaucoma services include:

  • Comprehensive glaucoma screening at every exam
  • OCT optic nerve imaging & IOP monitoring
  • Risk assessment for high-pressure, family history, and age-related factors
  • Ongoing management and co-management with specialists

This includes care for:

  • Cataracts
  • Glaucoma
  • Macular degeneration
  • Dry eye and visual changes related to aging

Our cataract services include:

  • Cataract evaluation & progression monitoring
  • Impact assessment on vision & quality of life
  • Surgical referral to trusted local ophthalmologists
  • Pre- and post-operative co-management

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of vision loss in adults over 50 — and it often has no early symptoms. We use advanced OCT and Optomap imaging to detect macular changes early and build a monitoring plan tailored to your risk level.

Our AMD services include:

  • OCT retinal imaging for layer-by-layer analysis
  • Drusen detection & baseline documentation
  • Risk factor assessment & nutritional guidance
  • Referral to retinal specialists for wet AMD treatment

Dry eye is more than occasional discomfort — it's a chronic condition that can affect how clearly you see and how comfortable your eyes feel every day. We go beyond artificial tears to identify the root cause and create a treatment plan tailored to you.

Our dry eye services include:

  • Comprehensive dry eye evaluation & symptom assessment
  • Tear film quality & stability testing
  • Meibomian gland evaluation
  • Prescription drops, warm compress therapy, & lifestyle guidance

Diabetes can damage the blood vessels in your retina — often before you notice any change in your vision. Annual diabetic eye exams with advanced retinal imaging are your most important defense against diabetic retinopathy and vision loss.

Our diabetic eye care services include:

  • Annual diabetic eye exam with detailed retinal evaluation
  • Optomap & OCT retinal imaging
  • Diabetic retinopathy grading & documentation
  • Coordination with your primary care or endocrinology team

Specialty & Pediatric Care

Advanced and age-specific services

Children's vision plays a critical role in learning, development, and confidence. Our pediatric eye exams are designed to be thorough, age-appropriate, and comfortable for both children and parents.

Pediatric eye care helps identify:

  • Focusing or eye coordination issues
  • Astigmatism
  • Lazy eye (Amblyopia)
  • Eye alignment concerns
  • Early signs of nearsightedness progression

We partner with families to ensure children have the visual tools they need to succeed at every stage.

Myopia, or nearsightedness, is one of the fastest-growing vision concerns worldwide — especially among children. While glasses and contacts can correct myopia, they don't address the underlying progression. Myopia control is a proactive approach that aims to slow the rate of eye elongation and reduce the risk of high myopia and its associated complications later in life.

We offer evidence-based myopia management strategies including orthokeratology (ortho-K) overnight lenses, specialty soft multifocal contact lenses, and low-dose atropine therapy. The right approach depends on your child's age, prescription, lifestyle, and rate of progression — and we work with families to develop a personalized plan that fits.

If your child's prescription has been increasing steadily, or if there is a family history of high myopia, we recommend scheduling a myopia consultation to explore whether intervention may help protect their long-term vision.
